The staff were helpful, but there was only one bathroom and one toilet, which became a problem when it got crowded.

I found the hostel right in the heart of the city, just 200 m east of the famous “Presernov” Square where the free walking tours meet, and a short walk to everything else—LiDL supermarket, Train Station, main intercity bus station, and the airport bus that runs every 30 min for 4.6 EUR. All those spots are about 1.2 km northeast by foot or via Bus #2/9, which stops right outside the hotel for a 1.5 EUR fee. The zoo, with its pricey 11.5 EUR ticket, sits roughly 4 km west, reachable on foot or by Bus #18. A Spar supermarket is just 100 m east, and there are plenty of restaurants and brand shops nearby. The hostel itself is a flat on the second floor that houses the reception, a free tea/coffee station in a full kitchen with a sitting area, a library, and a small balcony that unfortunately offers no view. Across from the kitchen you’ll find an 8‑bed dormitory and a 6‑bed dormitory, both with AC, heaters, and spacious rooms that feature two large windows overlooking the street, a medium‑sized locker (you can key it yourself or get one from reception), and each bed comes with its own socket and sometimes a lamp. The 6‑bed dorm also has a desk, chair, long seat, a lavatory with a mirror, and the only shower, which includes a sink and hot water. Staff work officially from 10:00 to 13:00 or later, and they assigned me to the 6‑bed dorm instead of the 8‑bed dorm I’d booked, and set me on the bottom bed as requested. They provided a useful map and emailed me the building gate and hotel door entry code along with other instructions. After check‑out you can leave your bag in the kitchen. The hostel lacks a TV, has only one toilet with a sink but that’s enough, the beds don’t have curtains, shelves, or hangers, and the shower comes without shampoo.

The location was good and the dorms were quiet. However, many sockets don’t work and could be repaired, the bathrooms are small, and overall the accommodation is quite tiny.

The location was great, almost in the city centre, making it a good choice for a short stay. The staff were helpful and supplied everything I asked for, but the entire hostel only has one toilet and one bathroom, which is inconvenient because you have to walk through another bedroom to use them.
