“WITH THE PRICE I EXPECTED MORE”
The host was very sweet and the breakfast, though minimal, tasted good. Still, we understand the house is 100 years old but it definitely needs updating, especially for the price. $600+ in the off‑season is honestly extremely disappointing. The house was so cold and the shower water was just warm. There is a plastic coffee container to catch dripping water in the shower, and the bathtub in the bathroom hasn't worked since 1999 according to a sign. The house has a lot of antiques but honestly the paintings and photos looked like a haunted house, creepy, and a lot of the items were covered in plastic. We have stayed at other B&Bs and usually the hosts provide a key‑rig with coffee, water, and light snacks; there was none of that. Honestly we won't be back and I wouldn't recommend it. The cost does not reflect what I would have expected; we would have been better off at a hotel.
