“Excellent value!”

The place worked well for us, the host was friendly and genuine, and the little private balcony made a small room feel much bigger, perfect for sitting out with a drink. When we arrived, Andre had a large bottle of chilled water ready, which was appreciated after a long trip. The shared kitchen was fantastic, plus great coffee was provided. The property was very clean and full of character, checking all our boxes—just wish we could have stayed longer!

Casa Beretta feels like a warm embrace right from the start. The room itself was solid, and the bathroom was just as good, with a shower that handled my long curly hair perfectly. The kitchen area was handy for making hot drinks (or other snacks, which we didn’t do) and we had a fridge to use. It also had a sofa, a table, and dual‑aspect windows that opened onto balconies – a nice bonus. The location was spot on: a quiet street, yet practically next to the lively village centre with a great mix of shops and a lovely promenade. Andrea was a real highlight – he met us outside at 10 pm because of our train, walked us through everything we needed, and gave excellent recommendations for restaurants, bars, and gelato. We tried three of those places and they were perfect. We bumped into him a few more times, always a pleasure to chat, and his English is really good.

“En hemtrevlig överraskning!”

It felt like coming home to someone. The owner, Andrea, lived on the second floor while guests stayed on the first and shared a common kitchen. The house had a bit of a retro vibe, which made it cozier. It was about a 15‑minute walk from the station and a 25‑minute walk from the ferry terminal to Malta.
