Elderslie Guest House

“A very pleasant surprise, comfy bed, lovely people and an excellent breakfast.”

First, our host came out and helped me park since it was dark and most spots were taken, then assisted me with my bag to the house. The bedroom is spacious, the bed comfortable, and the shower room spotless. Our friendly hostess served a Continental breakfast with a great selection, including fruit. Having stayed there some years before I was rather apprehensive, but the current owners are so pleasant and everything is so much better than it was; it was a great relief! Thank you. The steps down from the car park were a bit awkward for an older person.

“Felt at home with a great view”

The place is very pretty, and the staff are extremely friendly. The view is nice, and the area is quiet. Everything is spotless and in good shape. The light continental breakfast is generous, with toast, coffee and tea also available. Check‑in was smooth and everything is well organized overall.

“Ich würde dort nicht noch einmal übernachten.”

The beds were decent, and the parking and Wi‑Fi were fine. The continental breakfast was basic, offering toast, croissants, yogurt, jam and one kind of cheese. One room had the toilet on the hallway, and the distance to the city center was a bit too far to walk.

The spot was perfect for a single night, and the host was very flexible with my slightly late arrival; I’d definitely return.

“Cozy house and welcoming couple.”

After a long bike ride I was welcomed with two sandwiches and a tidy room overlooking the view, making me feel right at home; the breakfast was also fantastic.
