The location was fine, but breakfast was set for two while we were three, which was a minor issue that added to the overall disappointment. If you’re after a 1960s vibe, you’ll enjoy it, but the place needs basic maintenance for comfort. The stairs to the room (The Old Chapel) are unsafe—some are loose and rotting, and shrubs block them, making it hard to carry a bag without getting sprayed. The kitchen is okay but lacks a corkscrew. Amenities were missing for all guests. The main bed is acceptable but the mattress needs replacement; the bunk bed is subpar. There’s visible dust under furniture, the air‑conditioner smells when turned on and needs cleaning, and remote controls for non‑existent equipment clutter the space. The sofa feels like it could give way, some towel racks in the bathroom are falling off, the shower curtain needs a wash, and the electrical switches are unreliable with cords everywhere. The whole place could use rewiring while preserving its historic feel. If you want to stay in a 1960s‑style spot, do so at your own risk.

The place was a charming old house with plenty of character—if that’s your thing, it’s a must. Colin, the host, was super attentive and the kids had a blast. The location in town was spot‑on and everything we needed was already there.

Loved staying in that beautiful, original building—no modern over‑the‑top touches, just classic charm. The host was a lovely gentleman, and we didn’t even need breakfast because we were out early, but everything else was ready for us.
