A very quiet hotel with extremely friendly staff, beautifully and tastefully renovated, offering a very fine breakfast—an oasis amid noisy Berlin. Nothing to complain about.

The room was nice and the breakfast excellent, but the door between the elevator and the breakfast room always requires a code; it could be opened during the day instead.

A very nice, quiet hotel with a superb breakfast; the room was clean and comfortable.

The staff were very friendly and the room was fine for two nights, but the breakfast buffet felt too small and repetitive—same sausage, same cheese each day. The elevator was too small; we two could only bring our luggage one at a time. Hallways were narrow and had an unpleasant odor. The wooden floor in the breakfast area had holes that were tripping hazards and creaked. The price‑performance ratio didn’t meet our expectations; we won’t stay at Hotel Johann again.

Good location and good value, with a warm welcome from the staff upon arrival.
