We loved the little extras: heavy dark wood accents that felt high‑quality, a loose‑tea buffet and biscotti available all day, jazz playing in the dining area, and room goodies like a nail file, Q‑tips, lotion, conditioner, wine glasses, and a sewing kit (which I actually needed!). The gentlemanly concierge/owner gave us a quick tour when we arrived, and the fireplace was lit every morning. The only thing we missed was a warmer breakfast (scrambled eggs, etc.), but the spread still felt lovely, with homemade granola and jams, freshly baked bread, local äppelmust, boiled eggs from Gotland, and classic Swedish sandwich ingredients.

“A great place and if I'll ever come to Visby again there's no doubt I'll have another stay there”

We got bumped up to a suite – a massive room and a huge bathroom featuring both a tub and a standing shower. The room itself was gorgeous, and the view from the window was stunning. A minibar and Rituals toiletries that smell fantastic were in the room. There was no kitchenette, yet the hotel’s breakfast area stayed open all night with hot drinks and cookies. Breakfast itself was excellent, offering a wide range of spreads, cheeses, cold cuts, and yogurt. The downside was that the bed was made of two single beds pushed together, and the mattress felt a little soft. Also, the window shades were awkward to operate.

The breakfast was good, with plenty of fresh fruit, meats, cheeses, and breads. The hotel itself is charming and historic, in a great spot. The owner was very communicative, and the instructions for entering our assigned room after hours were clear. The room was spacious, quiet, and nicely appointed with comfortable beds at a reasonable price. Thick bathrobes were provided. Tobias and the rest of the staff were personable, informative, and accommodating.

“Erinomainen”

The accommodation was very nice. Breakfast was good, though the dairy‑free and gluten‑free options were limited. Everything else was fine, no complaints.
