The hotel’s location and décor are great, but we were using it as a stopover on our drive from London to the Highlands, so a good night’s sleep mattered. The room stayed very hot, so we had to keep the window open, and the road noise woke us repeatedly. I wouldn’t stay here again.

The hotel is gorgeous, and I adore its décor and style. It’s also in a perfect spot for exploring the area.

The electronic lock broke and took half an hour to fix, which delayed our plans; the cups were dirty.

The hotel feels like a cosy home away from home, and the location is fantastic—plus we were lucky to snag a parking space. I loved the printed newspaper guide and we did one of the walks, which was perfect! I can’t fault the property, but a few shelves or storage options in the bathroom would help; as two women we had no place to store toiletries, makeup, etc., which made the room feel a bit cramped.

Perfect self contained hotel room right in the centre of Windermere. Walking distance to shops, restaurants & cafes. We also walked down to the next town which had even more shops, bars, pubs & restaurants. Also great views of the lake!!. Nothing
