I couldn’t judge the service because the place was open, but they asked me to cancel. Before booking for that same evening I tried calling the owner, who hung up and then texted that he’d call back. I booked to avoid missing the slot. I was biking, rain was looming, and I headed toward the accommodation. The owner called and told me to cancel because he didn’t accept last‑minute bookings. I explained I was already on my way and had nowhere to stay, but he said he knew there were no options in the area and apologized. I found that unprofessional.
