Clean, comfortable, great staff and customers, pizza van on Tuesday was a treat – nothing else.

Excellent host who made me feel very welcome; the room was spotless with all usual facilities, and they even put cakes and biscuits in the room; to my delight the pub sells a nice range of excellent real ales.

The place sits in a great spot and the rooms are spotless, so that’s top tier. It’s a wet pub, so you won’t find real food for dinner or breakfast, and parking is just fine. The main gripe is there’s no breakfast. Also, every way you get to the rooms involves climbing some pretty steep stairs, which is fine for us but could be tough if you have mobility issues. We’ve stayed here before and sometimes feel a little out of place, especially when sitting in the pub. The staff are polite and helpful, not overly friendly but that’s how it feels. I’ll definitely come back.
