The evening reception was exceptionally good; they waited for me and offered an extra meal after kitchen closing. The lady at breakfast was a bit odd and rather unfriendly.

The location was excellent, a solid hotel for a layover, with a spacious bedroom and shower. However, the shower had no hot water in the evening and the morning, and there were small, thin hard pellets at breakfast.

The old bathroom had a shower curtain that wasn’t hygienic. The décor differed from the description, there was no fridge in the room, and the first‑floor room faced a beer garden.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating; we’ve stayed here several times and feel great. Especially the food at the Cox was a real treat, and we’ll definitely return.
