The room had a funky style, the hosts were great, and they were very helpful and accommodating, but it’s a bit far from town, so it’s best if you’re okay with driving or only staying part of your trip.

A hidden oasis with super friendly owners who give great tips on things to do; the experience is really unique, with rooms literally up in the trees, and it’s definitely worth a try.

This spot is wonderfully unique for a visit to Tonga; if you want something more special than a typical island hotel with friendly hosts and beautiful surroundings, this is the right choice, but you’ll need to rent a car because of its location.

It’s a truly special place—the craftsmanship that went into building it is incredible, and the owners and staff are amazing; I’d recommend it to anyone and, in my opinion, it’s still the best stay on the island. The location isn’t convenient if you’re on the main island for activities unless you have a car, and I still think the price is somewhat crazy globally; rooms are simple, breakfast is simple, and in any similarly developed country you’d be in a 5* hotel for that price.
