The location is great and the staff were friendly, plus the breakfast was really good. The bar was nice, but it only stayed open until 22:00.

The hotel is very solid and has its own dining facilities, with breakfast included as a pleasant bonus. It’s a perfect starting point for trips to the surrounding area, where there’s actually a lot to see. The TV is old, but it offers local TV channels. The room lighting is fairly weak.

We stayed in a budget room without a TV or minibar, with separate beds that we found comfortable; the room was old but, given our needs, it offered good value for money. The hotel sits right in the center of Zalec and has a whole square where you can park for free. It’s only a few hundred metres from the famous beer fountain, and in the hop valley it’s in a very central spot. Since we used the room as a base to visit nearby tourist sites, it performed well. Breakfast was decent, with a classic mix of savory and sweet, leaning towards cold cuts and cheese. One note: sometimes the trays of brioche and other foods arrived after the breakfast room had already closed. We had to repeatedly ask the concierge—who was always very polite and professional—for fresh linens and towels. We suspect the floor, sink, and shower weren’t cleaned daily, and we’re not sure if they were cleaned at all during our week.

Wir waren nicht das erste Mal in dem Hotel und nutzen es regelmäßig für 1 Nacht auf der Durchreise. Die Zimmer sind zweckmäßig eingerichtet und für eine Nacht komplett ausreichend. Das Hotel ist ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen, aber sauber. Es liegt Zentrumnah und der Parkplatz ist direkt am Hotel, das ist ein großer Vorteil. Wir freuen uns jedes Mal auf den Bierbrunnen in Zalec, das muss man gesehen und probiert haben. Das Frühstück ist sehr lecker und das Personal freundlich. Leider gingen die Klimaanlagen in den beiden Zimmern nicht, das war das einzige, was man bemängeln könnte
