The surroundings were very nice, but we were not impressed with our stay, especially for the amount we paid for the night; on arrival the booking sheet said “Mr Wishart”, which may seem like a minor error but I’m pretty sure I’ve never heard of a man called Emma; the lady at the front desk took us to our room (306) and showed us into the room 305; my fiance mentioned to her that this was the wrong room and then she said “oh yes sorry wrong room”; this may have been a bit of an issue that evening when we needed to come back; nothing worked in our room except for the lights; air‑con/tv/elevator/ no warm water/ hair dryer; the bed was exceptionally uncomfortable; we were given less than half a roll of toilet paper for our stay; this is definitely not sufficient; the smallest towels in Africa; I’m not sure how you’re supposed to dry yourself; the only positive is that the room was clean; I am genuinely not a person to complain and I was very tempted to ask for a refund; the main thing is that I think this needs to be brought to the attention of the people running the hotel; I am very sorry to say that I will definitely not return or recommend this hotel to anyone.

The location was fine, but the AC in the room failed, so no one could sleep and mosquitoes swarmed the space; we couldn’t close the windows because it was so hot, making for a terrible night with the whole family crammed into a single room that didn’t work. Check‑in was 90 minutes late, the pool bar wasn’t open, and breakfast quality was far below standard.

The staff were awesome and helpful, but the coffee and tea in the room could be better presented, and we had no tea spoons or anything to stir the coffee and tea with. The TV never worked in our room.
