I was not at all happy. There was a lack of communication and empathy.

Impeccable facilities, interiors and ambience. The tissue paper was very thin 1‑ply. No staff to help with anything after 9 pm.

Everything about this place was magical. I would book here again if I ever return to Siargao. Everything was perfect.

The hotel sits in a secluded spot that’s ideal for unwinding, about 10/15 min tuk‑tuk from the main General Luna strip, and the grounds boast lush greenery and exotic plants. We stayed in the garden room with a patio, which was beautiful and tastefully decorated, and featured a large, comfortable bed, a well‑appointed bathroom with amenities, and a terrace with a dining set and hammock that was great for breakfast and reading. The pool area was pleasant, and while the beach is okay, it has seaweed and disappears at low tide—nothing the hotel could do. Friendly staff checked in regularly via WhatsApp, arranged bookings, scooters, massages, day trips, and gave local recommendations. The WhatsApp ordering service is convenient but can be a bit disruptive if you want to disconnect by the pool. The resort is very sleepy: it’s very quiet at night with no music or atmosphere, and there’s no service after 8:45 pm. There’s no bar or restaurant, and the honesty box offers only soft drinks, beer, and some spirits; you basically order your meals beforehand and then choose where on the grounds you wish to eat, with no server or staff (though you can WhatsApp for things at the table before 9 pm). The food and beverage offering fell short of five‑star standards: drinks were served without ice, and one evening when it rained we were told there was no white wine available; red wine was offered as an alternative but didn’t pair well with our fish dishes. We pre‑ordered the Sea Mantis and it seemed a bit overpriced for the amount of meat. Breakfast is limited but tasty, but you can only choose one item; any additional are up‑charges, unlike other hotels in Siargao. Lastly, we booked a Sohoton Cove tour with a stop at one of the Tri‑Islands, but the island stop didn’t happen. The hotel said the tour group drafts the itinerary, but the tour group said the hotel drafts it. We brought this to the manager’s attention and he apologized. The tour itself was excellent! The staff are really kind and caring, and the grounds are beautiful and well decorated. If you’re really trying to remove yourself from day‑to‑day life, I recommend it. Otherwise, it’s very pricey for the Philippines and it’s hard to completely justify its value.
