“Glad it was one night. Won't stay there again!!”
I liked that it was close to a movie theater and restaurants, and the drive wasn’t far from my mother’s home where I was visiting during my stay. The facility was old, one of the TVs wasn’t working properly, and there was rust in multiple places in the bathroom. We were on the 2nd floor and the floors felt weak and sagging when you first walked through the door. They didn’t have any towels; instead they gave us hard towels from the pool, something I’ve never had to use in all my years of traveling. I was told upon check‑in that I could pay with a different credit card than the one I reserved the room under, which I intended to do. I’m familiar with that process because I’ve done it in the past at other hotels. Upon checking out it was a different person than when I checked in, and the desk representative said the card was already charged—how could it have been charged before I checked out? I go to Albany a lot to visit my mother and I will never stay at that hotel again. You could also hear children running on the floor above us; they ran all throughout the night and part of the morning as if they were in the same room with you, which was annoying. I’ll resume staying at the Holiday Inn Express! Their rooms and facilities along with the free breakfast are immaculate; they are worth what they charge and more.
