The place was awesome—great spot, rooms spotless, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. The only gripe was that while there was a big fridge for everyone, a small one for water and drinks in each room would have been nice.

“Overall pretty fun, the rooms could have been a little more updated”

The location hits the mark, and the greenery inside the accommodation gives the villas a refreshing vibe. The staff were courteous and polite, though a bit laid‑back. The main door lock was crooked and the door was hard to secure properly; all the door fittings in the room we stayed in need urgent repair.

“Amazing stay, would defiantly come again”

Set amid a jungle, it’s very close to the heart of Hiriketiya! I loved the open balcony in the bathroom—wild monkeys and wildlife really bring the place to life. It was very loud, and the curtains let in all the light; a fridge in the room for water and tea or coffee would be a welcome addition.

“Beautiful private 1 bed villa with garden patio!”

I spent 6 × nights at Casa Vana in the Garden Patio Villa. Beautiful private villa, big comfy bed with mosquito net, outdoor bathroom (so if monkeys or other animals aren’t your thing I would reconsider), the room is quite spacious and all you need. I loved the private patio with a square lounger that can sit 4‑6 comfortably and a table and 2 × chairs, and ceiling fan—very private feeling with bamboos lining the fence. Superb location! Great shops close by incl. a mini mart for water. Ulu Pilates around the corner, and lots of food options. Felt very central to everything, rarely took a tuk, and walked everywhere. Maybe 5 min walk to the beach and 8‑10 min to the busier strip of beach bars, restaurants and clubs along the cove. Easy walk or tuk to Dickwella and Blue Island. Super friendly manager and all staff. Worth mentioning—lots of storage and hanging space but only 2 × clothes hangers provided, so not really able to use the space. There isn’t a mini‑bar fridge in the room, so you can’t keep fruit/snacks or water cold. There is some construction happening opposite the patio—it didn’t disturb me too much but to mention. And with some workers coming and going up and down the stairs, they can be in line of sight into the bathroom—I kind of had to plan showers around this. There were also two jungle parties during my stay, which is in a property behind the villas; again didn’t keep me up as I can block out noise with ear plugs pretty well, but the parties are regular during the season and I imagine more frequent, so I can imagine it being a lot more louder than what I experienced.

“A must stay in Hiriketiya”

Super friendly and helpful staff. The cabin I had was so comfortable and felt like a little sanctuary. The location of the property is absolutely perfect. Close to the beach, shops and business but a quiet sanctuary during weekdays. Maybe having a little fridge in the room would be nice to keep drinks cool and maybe be able to store some snacks/yoghurt. Apart from that nothing negative to say
