The Casita in Kure Beach is a newly renovated 1‑bedroom guest house featuring a private outdoor pool, cowboy‑style poolside lounge, and an outdoor shower. Free Wi‑Fi covers the entire space, and a games room adds entertainment. Located a six‑minute walk from the beach, it offers easy access to Carolina Beach Boardwalk and the USS North Carolina, with Wilmington International Airport 20 miles away.

We loved how close the hotel was to the beach and the patio lights made the outdoor space feel almost magical after a long day. The bed was comfy, the shower was spacious and perfect after a beach day, and the linens and towels had a fresh scent that added a nice touch.

The property matched the pictures perfectly – neat, well put together, and it even had a microwave, which we were relieved to find. The AC, ceiling fan, TV, and Wi‑Fi all worked well, and a five‑minute walk straight to the beach was a bonus. However, it could have been cleaner: my partner found a spot under the bed that hadn’t been swept, with a few bugs, and the sheets had small brown bits of trash that made us uneasy. The advertised pool was unusable because it wasn’t kept clean, the door knobs were flimsy, the bathroom door didn’t lock properly, and the carport was tiny; parking in the neighborhood required a paid lot.

The suite was cute and private, but it was cold and poorly insulated—though the heating worked great. The pool was pretty dirty, but we probably wouldn’t have used it anyway because of the cold front. The memory‑foam bed was good, and the pillows were amazing; we even ordered tags for our home.
