I strongly recommend this mountain onsen experience; the welcome was perfect and the onsen itself was gorgeous, providing a wonderful relaxation moment. The dinner and breakfast were delicious, and the free shuttle made the trip easy when otherwise it would have been hard to get there. The room assigned to me was pleasant but a bit worn, and the shuttle departure and check‑out were too early; it would be better to be able to enjoy the place until 10:30 or 11:00.

“Stunning riverside setting”

I really enjoyed the onsen overlooking the river, especially with the autumn leaves changing; the meals were generous and tasty in our private dining area. We could stay because the shuttle from the train station was on time both ways, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. To have a quieter onsen experience, go later at night or early in the morning since it’s also open to the public and gets busy.

The food was very good, the room faced the stream, the breakfast was hearty, and the onsen was exceptional.

“Calme, reposant, dépaysant, traditionnel.”

The tranquility, traditional meals, attire, and immersion were great, but the building feels a bit old‑fashioned; I was disappointed not to receive new dry bathrobes automatically. The TV is old and tiny, and there’s not much else to do—more options besides the baths and TV would be nice.
