The Woodbridge Waterfront Rooms

“Waterfront mansion”

The waterfront is absolutely breathtaking, with plenty of spots to sit and relax outside. The old mansion has been beautifully renovated, and Laurelle, the owner, personally guided us at check‑in, showing genuine pride and passion for her property.

“Very comfortable room and amenities. Tranquil and picturesque surrounds.”

The host was easy to reach, welcoming, and helpful, and the on‑site parking was convenient. The view over the Derwent River and the surrounding mountains is gorgeous, and the walking tracks from the property along the river and through town are lovely; we even spotted a pod of dolphins from our room.

“Staying in a historic BnB that felt like a living museum, with a warm and friendly host”

Booking a BnB on my own for the first time was a hit; the host was super friendly and very helpful. The morning walk along the river was amazing, and the historic building itself feels like a living museum with many original artifacts beautifully preserved by the host. As a trans woman, I sensed a quiet but genuine kindness, and the host is very gender‑inclusive. The puzzle in the living room offered a nice break from my mum. On the downside, the price is a bit high for the relatively simple facilities, and there was a slight musty smell downstairs, though I understand it’s an old building.

What a lovely and old accommodation. The host was very caring, and from the very first minute we felt at home.
