“A wonderful place to stay when visiting Shimoda area”
The rooms were very spacious with great views, and the onsen was wonderful. The only downside was the lack of dining options at night.

Located in Shimoda, the Shimoda Tokyu Hotel reopened in April 2017, offering a unique blend of hot-spring baths, Japanese and Western fusion cuisine, and an outdoor pool. The hotel features free shuttle service to Shimoda Train Station, ocean or mountain views, and private bathrooms in air-conditioned rooms with flat-screen satellite TVs and electric kettles.

Everything – the location, the view, the comfort, the friendliness of the staff, the magnificent breakfast, the cleanliness. The only thing missing is a shelf in the bathroom to put your things on.

The location was great, with amazing views from our room and a short walk to a cute bay beach. It’s close to town and they offer a shuttle if needed. Breakfast was fantastic, offering a wide range of both western and Japanese dishes. The beds were a bit hard, but that would have been fine if I wasn’t pregnant and already a bit uncomfortable 😅

Magnifique hôtel dans un emplacement somptueux. Tout était très bien, les chambres propres et confortables, le personnel agréable. Nous avons apprécié la politique écologique qu’adoptait l’hôtel. Paradoxalement à leur politique écologique, il manque des poubelles de recyclage dans les chambres
