“Good price for the area.”

We chose the property because of its great ratings, but I think the owners have changed and it’s not in the same condition. The private onsens were the saving grace after a day of skiing. Parking was plentiful, the room was clean but the pillows were very hard. The family running it were trying their best, but maintenance is needed. It provided everything we needed while we were out most of the time. Better pillows and interior maintenance would make it look cleaner and better kept.

“Lovely place with lovely hosts”

The hosts were very kind and pleasant. Beds and linens were very nice, and the shuttle service was on time. The sink area of the shared bathroom could use more cleaning – it got pretty dirty during our stay, with hairs, dirty q‑tips, and the basins could have used a wipe down. That’s my one critique.

I met a crew of super friendly staff who even drove me to the ski resorts I wanted, so I didn't have to drive to Hakuba myself. The rooms were great for the price, and I was pleasantly surprised to find private onsens. All in all, a very nice experience.
