Time travel

The accommodation sits on a very quiet street, not far from the city centre which is a 10‑minute walk, this was the second time we came, this year sunny, the place is very pleasant with the garden and courtyard where it is easy to park; the accommodation is very well equipped, the wooden furniture is magnificent, the owner is very responsive if needed. The house is in its own style, which gives it charm and we like it, but some renovations would still be necessary (for example: the main door, beautiful but needs refreshing; wallpaper peeling in the kitchen…).

The calm was good, but I did not like this rental system at all, I still have not received my 500‑euro deposit 8 days later.

The bedding was very correct, the space was large, but the cleaning was not done, there were spider webs, dust, the accommodation is ageing and needs major renovation.

I was disappointed that there was no breakfast offered, and I would have liked a dedicated front‑desk person to greet us at arrival and departure, as well as an extra bathroom.

“Retour vers le passé”

The place was quiet, fully equipped, and the rustic décor of the kitchen‑dining area, the room with its solid wood furnishings, the private courtyard, and the little garden were all great. The gate’s opening/closing was a bit inconvenient, but manageable once we understood how the latch kept the vertical blocking bar in place. It was a shame we couldn’t light a flare in the chimneys because of the bad weather we had.
