The two best parts of Wakola Hotel Cheikh Anta were the staff and the rooftop terrace! Every staff member—from the manager, receptionists (especially Khady), cleaners, to kitchen crew—was kind, friendly, and helpful. On a very hot afternoon when I arrived, Khady kindly offered to escort me to the market to find Senegalese clothes. There were a few minor issues with the first room I got, but the manager and Khady let me pick another room and moved me right away. The rooftop terrace offers stunning views, perfect for sunset watching and dinner, with lovely breezes after a hot, humid day. Both dinners I had at Wakola were delicious; the kitchen staff first asked what I wanted and how I’d like it prepared.
