We had such a lovely time at Number 59 Dublin. The staff was incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond with their amenities, from a champagne welcome to lovely pastries and coffee in the morning. I particularly enjoyed the cold plunge and sauna while my partner had a great massage

The ladies that own and work in the place are absolutely lovely, very welcoming and hospitable. Honestly, the room we were in (I think it was Grace), is so remarkably small, it shouldn’t be rented as a double. There isn’t room to open a suitcase in it (not even a trolley), forget about storage. It’s very uncomfortable for one person, and basically impossible for a couple. They should remove the double bed, put in a twin, and rent as a single. Only then it can be reasonable

I chose the location because it was described as one of the better and safer suburbs of Dublin. The property has a nice enclosed back garden that guests can use. Walking into town was quite straightforward and takes about 30 minutes. Walking through St. Stephen's Green was a pleasure, and some museums are quite close by. The room itself was nicely and stylishly furnished. While the brass bed was lovely and the mattress comfortable, it was unfortunately rather high. I am 175cm tall and when sitting on the side of the bed, my feet did not reach the floor. This was a bit of a problem. Also, it would be ever so nice if the bedside tables were actually big enough to put one's phone or iPad without either falling off. The one item that was least satisfactory was the fact that there was no breakfast. The website is ambiguous here. It seems one could have asked for breakfast, of the modest continental type, but it was not offered as standard but as a "curtesy". For a relatively expensive B&B this seemed odd. This was most disappointing as I had flown in from overseas and did not fancy hunting for a breakfast place the very first morning. There are some good places in walking distance but nothing seems to open before 8am! Having said that, if nothing of the above is a problem, they make good coffee in Dublin!

This has to be the best hotel I have ever stayed in, and I have travelled a lot! No 59 is both elegant and cozy. It is richly decorated, yet very inviting. Their motto is “while you are here, this is your home”. They mean every word of it! From the minute you walk through the door, their hospitality is like nothing I have ever experienced. For example, we were looking for a night cap and asked if they had Port. They did not. The next day a bottle of Port, with 2 glasses, was delivered to our room. Another guest wanted toast for breakfast, instead of the pastries that were laid out. Our hostess snuck out, ran to the local market and came back with a loaf of bread! I have never stayed in such a delightful place. I didn’t want to leave!. Not a thing!

Felt very homely, staff were amazing. Stunning interior and garden. Just a couple of things in room. Rug curled on end bit of trip hazard, shutters in our room require maintenance, also nob on shower door broken
