“Eine Unterkunft, bei der Sie womöglich ohne Futon auf dem Boden schlafen und schlecht frühstücken”
We booked a room for three adults as a Royal‑Suite that was described as having two beds. In reality, the room had only one double bed (140‑160 cm). We politely asked for a different room because our adult daughter could not share the bed, but the receptionist said none were available. It was already evening, so arranging a new booking elsewhere was difficult, the room was already paid for, and no one could speak English—everything was handled through an app. The receptionist finally handed us a large plastic bag containing a mattress protector and a blanket, which we discovered in the room when unpacking. When we disagreed and asked for another solution—like a futon and at least a second blanket—the receptionist spent over 30 minutes on the phone at the front desk, even though we were standing and waiting. We felt that was disrespectful, as she seemed to ignore us. Breakfast, which was described as “extraordinary” at the time of booking, consisted of three types of ramen, white bread, lemonade, and small packets of butter and jam, but there were no knives for the butter (the butter was meant to be spread with chopsticks), plus one type of cereal in a dispenser with milk. A guest “repaired” the coffee machine. From 8:15 to 8:45 there was no staff present to add anything, even though several guests were eating. Perhaps there was a simple error in the room description that only became apparent at booking, but the room is still offered the same way three weeks later.
