“Отель в целом - это конечно не 5 звезд, как написано в Букинге. Но я так понял в целом хороших 5-звездочных отелей в Чжа”
After staying 5 days in Zhangjiajie and studying the layout of all the locations, park entrances, supermarkets, restaurants (especially European ones) and more, I can confidently say this hotel has the best location for anyone who wants to see all the park’s points, the glass bridge, the Yellow Dragon Cave, the Tienmen Mountain, and still travel comfortably and quickly everywhere. Second, the butler Lily is probably one of the best I’ve met in China and across 50+ trips. She’s incredibly friendly, speaks excellent English, and every day explained where and how to go, what the weather would be, suggested the best viewpoints, handled tickets, and made everything feel like a simple walk without technical hassles. Thank you very much! We booked for the mountain views and balcony, which were fine, but in the end it didn’t make sense. First, it’s almost always foggy and you can’t see anything; when it’s not fog, it’s raining. Second, after a few days you get tired of the mountains and don’t want to look at them as much. The hotel could improve its breakfast menu by blending European and Chinese cuisine; besides eggs and pastries, there’s literally nothing for Europeans, which was a bit of a struggle. In one of the rooms we stayed in, we were attacked by bedbugs (about 15–20 in the evening) that crawled into the bedroom, and the floor heating in the bathroom didn’t work, so it was very cold. But these are minor issues.
