The Hilton Garden Inn Orange Beach is situated on the Gulf of Mexico, adjacent to Gulf State Park. The hotel features free WiFi, indoor and outdoor pools, and two hot tubs with a poolside tiki bar. Rooms have private balconies, flat-screen TVs, refrigerators, microwaves, and Keurig coffee machines. On-site amenities include The Garden Grille breakfast restaurant and 24-hour Pavilion Pantry convenience store.

The beach location is great; nothing to complain about.

Being right on the beach and pet friendly is rare, and that’s a big plus; however, I was disappointed that you can’t bring your own alcohol to the pool, which felt off because most places let you do that if it’s in a glass. The bartender’s delivery of that rule rubbed me the wrong way, though a different bartender the next day was much nicer. I also found it misleading that the property advertised an indoor pool and hot tubs, yet there were none—only a lazy river. Paying for parking felt excessive, especially after the pet fee. At least they should offer free breakfast to compensate for these inconveniences.

The hotel is close to the beach, but they told us we couldn’t bring dogs to the pool area.

The location was great, but we had to use two elevators, and one was out of order the entire time from Saturday to Wednesday.
