The view of the mountains was wonderful, a dream for me as a former Allgäuer, and the apple on the room and tasty water were nice after a long hike; the restaurant interior was very tasteful and the terrace lovely. Unfortunately, it wasn’t Sunday, so no alphorn playing.

We were heading to an event in Oberstdorf, so the hotel was convenient; the rooms were clean and comfortable, the terrace offered a stunning view, and the staff were very friendly and eager to help. The breakfast was only average, and we were disappointed that there were no local buns, bread, cheese, or sausage from a nearby baker, cheese maker, or farmer, but only pre‑baked rolls, sliced cheese, and cold cuts. The hotel places great emphasis on regional producers, so that was a let‑down. The staff tried to restock, but it took a long time.

I loved the location and the staff; the rooms were really nice, and there were complimentary mineral water and apples. The on‑site restaurant was amazing for both dinner and breakfast. I’m only sad we missed the Alpen horns on a Saturday. I’ll be back! Parking was tight.
