Very clean and a bike ride to the sea. The breakfast had a slightly limited selection but good quality.

Debo reconocer que nos dieron una habitación superior a la reservada, por lo que no sé cómo sería la que realmente habíamos reservado. Se trata de una hacienda muy bien restaurada como hotel de agroturismo, en un sitio de las afueras muy tranquilo. El desayuno (bien, pero no excepcional) se sirve en un espacio acristalado cerrado o en las mesas al aire libre. Hay bicis gratis a disposición de los clientes para acercarse a la playa. La habitación, de dos plantas, era increíble y el baño descomunal. Mucha avispa atraída por el dulce del desayuno, aunque no picaron a nadie, y es recomendable llevar repelente de mosquitos a la piscina para no acabar con el cuerpo lleno de ronchas

The park, the pool, the sea access, the breakfast. The fact that our criteria were two separate rooms, as described in the listing, was not met. There is one room with two beds behind a curtain after the entrance you must pass to reach the bathroom and toilets. The staircase leading to the room gives a view of those two beds. We were two couples and it was awkward for privacy. We had ruled out this type of accommodation that didn’t have two true rooms. The description and photos don’t reveal that this space isn’t isolated.

Everything matched expectations. Located among citrus trees, quiet, peaceful yet close to attractions. The property has a large pool, loungers available both in sun and shade. Bikes are also available to go to the beach. Rooms are spacious, bathroom has a large shower. A smart TV is in the room. During the day you can eat lunch on site and in the evening use the cocktail bar. The hotel also has its own spa. There’s a restaurant on the premises serving very good pizza and Italian cuisine. The only small flaw is the constantly dropping wifi.

Chiusa di Carlo is a surprisingly quiet and green oasis in Avola. If you’re looking for absolute relaxation and peace, this place is spot on. It’s not far by car to shop or to dine in one of the seaside restaurants at night. The team is incredibly nice and accommodating. The breakfast was rich in homemade cakes, but as a vegetarian I missed a bit more variety of vegetables and fruit.
