“A misleading stay”
The private door code entry worked, and seasoning was available in the cabinet even though it was messy. This was one of the most disappointing stays I've ever had. The pictures and descriptions on the booking site were misleading and did not match the actual condition. The listed amenities claimed laundry facilities and a private bathroom, which was not the case. The bathroom cabinet wouldn’t close properly and was taped shut to stop it from swinging open and possibly injuring someone. The bedsheets were unclean, the kitchen was disorganized, and the first step downstairs was damaged, with tape apparently used as a quick fix. Overall, it seemed like very little effort went into preparing the accommodation to make guests feel comfortable, safe, and welcome. Instead, the impression was that the priority was to collect payment and move guests in and out as fast as possible, rather than maintain acceptable standards of cleanliness, safety, and hospitality. The non‑refundable policy is especially concerning given the huge gap between the advertised representation and the actual experience. While I can't say what the owner intended, the policy leaves guests with little recourse when the accommodation fails to meet reasonable expectations based on its listing. Guests deserve honest descriptions, accurate photos, and a clean, safe environment that reflects what they paid for. Unfortunately, this property fell far short of those expectations, and I would not recommend it to anyone.
