The location is great, very peaceful and quiet, Jonathan and Caroline were perfect hosts and the breakfast was fabulous.

Convenient to town and bus, the grounds are lovely and quiet, the patio and gardens are nice.

I was welcomed by a beautiful garden and a traditional building that kept its facilities clean; owner Jonathan messaged me before arrival and that was a huge help. Walking to the town is quick and the tourist office is nearby, which is very convenient. The afternoon tea was delicious and relaxing. I had requested breakfast the night before and it was served in the morning dining room in a careful, well‑made way that was wonderful. The room faced Grasmere and the view was good. I didn’t have any major complaints, but because our schedule was tight I wish we could have taken a bit more time to enjoy breakfast; it starts at 8:30 so if you’re catching a tour bus you should plan accordingly.

“An exceptionally well presented and comfortable residence”

Cedar Manor sits a short walk from the train station, it’s a beautiful residence, the room we stayed in was exceptionally well decorated and very comfortable, we loved the wooded path next to the residence that led straight to the lake, we enjoyed our stay at Cedar Manor and will return.

“Lovely relaxing stay in very nice surroundings”

The bedroom was very comfortable, the location was good, the breakfast was fabulous and the cream tea was also fabulous, the place was very clean with a lovely garden and a friendly atmosphere.
