The “Estalagem” was impeccably tidy and decorated, making us feel almost at home; the many “extras” for entertainment were perfectly suited to the cozy atmosphere right from the entrance, and I’ll definitely return! The only downside was the limited variety of items offered at breakfast.

The staff were incredibly attentive and the room was charming; everything was to my liking. I mentioned that one of us had a lactose intolerance, and they took care to provide suitable milk.

I mainly liked the location. The house is pretty and the price was quite affordable. The breakfast was included, but we chose to eat elsewhere because the cleanliness was clearly lacking. Despite the friendly vibe, the overall service was somewhat careless.

This property was a pleasant surprise. It’s very well situated, and the balcony of my room (5) faces Av. da Liberdade. The classic twin room is well furnished and decorated, and the owners kindly supply coffee pods and tea sachets along with mugs, plus two glass bottles of water—an uncommon gesture. The outdoor areas have interesting furniture and décor, and I appreciated the curved staircase leading to the upper floor. The buffet breakfast is quite reasonable and even exceeds expectations. The value for money is very acceptable, so I’ll stay here again on my next visit to Portalegre. The only negatives were that the mattress was too soft and the bed nearest the balcony creaked with even the slightest movement.
