The Copper Swan

The building’s history was fascinating, but it’s frustrating that dogs are only allowed in one building.

There’s nothing to like about The Copper Swan: it’s dirty, run down, the exterior doors don’t lock, rooms are unkept, and there’s no staff onsite except for cleaners who are only around a few hours a day and often just lounge outside. We arrived to a disgustingly dirty room and spent the next two days trying to get towels, have our trash emptied, and get hand soap for the bathroom. The common‑area smoke detectors are disconnected while the window AC units in the rooms are plugged into extension cords. I can’t see how this place hasn’t burned to the ground. If you want to sit in the lobby, you can’t, because that’s where the cleaners throw their personal backpack. Oh, and don’t bother trying to contact the owner because he will stop responding once he realizes your expectations are above homeless‑shelter level. I liked that the building didn’t burn down—it’s truly an amazing feat.

“Convenient location, good prices. Don’t set your expectations too high.”

The location was great, parking was easy, the beds were comfortable, and the sitting areas inside and out were nice, but it could use some updating. The owner was wonderful but very busy—please give this lovely man some help!

The location was excellent, the staff were friendly and helpful, and there was plenty of parking, but the bathroom could use some upgrades.

“Outdated but cheap and convenient location”

It was in a great lock, but it was self‑check‑in and there was no key for me, so I had to make a bunch of calls and texts to get it resolved and the room was dark. The shower was small and dripped, and there was a bulb out in the bathroom. It definitely could use a refresh.
