Everything the staff did was over the top—no one could have done more for us. The breakfast was great, and the location is perfect, right next to a bunch of historic sites and good restaurants.

The lift was fine, but there was no hot water in our room, and another guest had the same issue. On arrival we were told the rack rate included breakfast and that we could use “everything in the minibar, it’s all complimentary.” The minibar only had two small bottles of water and two coffee capsules, no biscuits at all. When we went down for breakfast, we were told our rate didn’t actually include it and we’d have to pay an extra €10 each because something changed the day before. The hotel is central, but it was incredibly noisy at night.

The location was amazing—just a stone’s throw from Monastiraki Square, which was extra fun with its restaurants and nonstop activity. We also loved the antique iron elevator and were grateful for it with our luggage! The AC was fantastic, especially since we were there during a hot period. The staff were SO friendly and helpful, and we’ve kept in touch with one receptionist even after returning to Texas. The shower was SO very large, a welcome upgrade from the tiny cruise‑ship shower we had before. If we ever go back to Athens, this is definitely where we’ll stay! The only downside was that we only had breakfast one day, and it wasn’t impressive… and sadly the coffee machine was broken that day :-( But everything else was great!!!

The hotel itself is charming, and the location is really good. The lunch wasn’t exceptional in my opinion.
