The staff were friendly, the rooms were great and the food at the restaurant was very good, but parking was problematic.

The hotel’s location was fine. Room 111 was a pretty small, completely newly designed room. The wood smell was a clear sign of the recent renovation. (The hair dryer with its holder had not yet been installed and was lying in the compartment.) When checking in I only found out about the room’s location after asking. We wanted to drink the welcome drink at dinner. The overworked waiter brought one wrong drink when we ordered two. Four guests were being served that day. No mention of the welcome drink again. When I asked, he said my 1/4 soda and my husband’s beer were “the…” The next morning a supposedly responsible man told us where the breakfast room was. We were four guests. Only a few slices of plain cheese and sausage, little pastry, no bread, no eggs. No one came to ask if we wanted to order anything. For dinner on Saturday, when it was “busier”, we waited over an hour. The only funny part of that situation was watching the young waiter, a very capable waitress and the man who showed me the breakfast room, who didn’t feel empowered to care about the guests, serve under stress and loudly communicate. On Sunday morning there were already ten guests: suddenly there was half a loaf of bread and cold, soft eggs; black tea and butter were out. That was only brought to the bar after I asked. How does this house get a 4‑star rating?

“angenehm”

The house was very pleasant, in a quiet location, with nice “Zirbenzimmer” rooms, good food, friendly and competent staff. The reading lamp was too bright.
