The experience was favoloso!
This place is wonderful; I’ve stayed at other ryokans, but none were as meticulously cared for as this one. I highly recommend the room with a private onsen, and the half‑board dinner and breakfast were very interesting. The staff were extremely kind, and the shuttle was very useful.
I found sleeping on tatami surprisingly comfortable, and the staff were friendly and courteous. Our room had a private onsen in nature, overlooking a sandy forest hill. The hotel grounds were well maintained and you could wander through the woods. However, a centipede crawled into the room at night and bit us; there was no staff present and the property was closed. The dinner and breakfast were Japanese‑style, which isn’t suitable for those used to the hotel’s classic cuisine.

The staff were wonderful, the art décor was great, and the food was delicious, but I was disappointed that the pool didn’t look inviting for a swim with my wife.

The inn’s facilities were spotless and the meals left me completely satisfied, especially the extra “grilled hamo” dish, which was my first time trying hamo and I was thrilled 🤩. However, the public bath felt dim and cramped, the private (paid) bath was far from the main building and difficult to reach in slippers, and both the tub and washing area were narrow and dark, making it hard to relax.
