Finding the hotel was a breeze, but the TV was dead and the front‑desk guy just shrugged and never fixed it. The bed felt like a brick, and the pillow was as hard as a 2x4.

A small motel in John Day, a bit old-fashioned but kept clean. The shower was the only issue.

The location was fine. The motel is very old; towels and sheets were worn, the room looked clean, walls were thin, and you could hear people on either side of us.
