The spot is a 15‑minute drive from the Hobbiton set and a short walk into Matamata. The kitchenette offers a great breakfast, with freshly baked bread and gluten‑free choices. The self‑contained studio on the farm is cozy and comfortable.

We had a fantastic stay and would strongly recommend this place. The property itself was lovely, and the beds were supremely comfortable. Breakfast was a wonderful addition, featuring a wide range of cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurt, homemade bread, and tasty preserves. The host was extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout, making the experience even better. We would definitely suggest this spot to anyone seeking a cozy and welcoming stay and would gladly return.

The lodge is lovely and the hosts left a breakfast basket full of fresh fruit, bread, and cookies, which was very nice. The lodge itself is comfortable!
