“Fantastic accommodation, highly recommend”
The place was everything I could wish for: a beautiful, spacious room with an ensuite, a modern and spotless interior, a large lounge, and a lovely dining area. The kitchen was shared but each room had its own fridge, and it was stocked with breakfast items. There was plenty of parking and the location was great. The hosts were friendly, helpful and attentive, and they paid close attention to every detail to keep us comfortable. Getting in and out was hassle‑free. I highly recommend Mount Barker and would have given it 11 out of 10 if that were possible.

Gillian and Paschal were both welcoming and lovely hosts. The guest house itself is charming, with six large rooms that have ensuite bathrooms and plenty of wardrobe space—truly a lovely estate. I can't fault the guesthouse, but the surrounding area is a bit hard to navigate; we were told to rent a car, which I definitely recommend.
Overall it was an amazing place; hosts Gillian and Paschal were the nicest and most accommodating. Everything was clean and spacious, and they had a unique kitchen set‑up for each guest. After backpacking through Ireland, I just wanted to relax for the last couple of days, and this was the perfect spot.

Our room was super cozy and clean, the bathroom was big with a great shower and plenty of storage and hooks, and there was a walk‑in wardrobe so luggage didn't clutter the room. The shared kitchen was fully equipped, and each of the six rooms had its own fridge and cupboard—something I'd never seen before, but it was very handy. We could whip up breakfast in the morning in no time. Adjacent to the kitchen was a snug dining room where we enjoyed red wine in the evenings and met the lovely host Gillian. It was a wonderful finale to our Ireland trip, and the airport is only 15 minutes away. We'd book the house again and again!
