Hotel Le Acacie

The hotel complex looked pretty nice and the beach location was excellent; the nearby charming places Capoliveri and Port Azurro were not far by car. The waiters were very friendly and the dinner itself was good, with a varied menu plan and quite good desserts. The breakfast, however, could have been much better: no yogurt, no variety of rolls, the bread offered was stale, no fresh jams, definitely not 4‑star level. The hotel is very old: leaky windows meant countless mosquitoes in the room, a mini‑balcony with a rusty railing but a nice view, dinner was rushed with many people and no pause between courses, and there was no safe in the room.

The location, breakfast, and gardens were great, but I didn’t like the bathroom much. In the apartment the bathroom was on the ground floor while the room was on the first floor, an awkward layout, and the sink and bidet were poorly positioned.

“È stato un buon soggiorno, ci siamo rilassati”

The breakfast, lunch, and almost always the dinner buffet were excellent and plentiful. The staff were professional and the animators were great, so it was a nice stay I’d recommend! The driveways are poorly lit and could use some care; the tennis court needs to be restored because it wasn’t usable, though it was listed among the activities available.

The sea was nearby with a bit of free beach and close to Capoliveri and Porto Azzurro, yet I expected to stay in the pictured building but was sent 200 m further toward the beach to a very old structure above the hotel restaurant, which is not great. The hotel parking was unavailable on the first day because another unauthorized car had occupied it, and the hotel’s parking monitoring system is superficial, causing inconvenience between the parking and the room access. I never used the pictured facilities and do not think it deserves four stars; there was also no way to contact the cleaning lady, who arrived early one morning after just finishing breakfast.

“Bene ma non benissimo”

The place was very clean, staff were friendly and solved problems quickly, all restaurant staff were efficient, kind, and ready to meet every small request or doubt; the hotel bar staff were friendly, courteous, and very fast. The location is good, but you have to drive out at night to reach the center of Capoliveri, the nearest town. I would not give it four stars, only three, which are well deserved. Room 565 had a three‑star bathroom, the bed was very comfortable (personal preference), there were few power outlets, and the décor could use a nice touch‑up. Mosquitoes are a personal issue; a thorough disinsection in September would help. No hotel form was asked to be filled, and the price is high for a four‑star with rooms like these.
