Great location. From the balcony and terrace you get a fantastic view of the pyramids. The breakfasts were a bit monotonous.

Good location near the pyramids and the staff were smiling. Sylvia was very pleasant and took time to chat with us. The menu items were tasty! The restaurant staff were very slow, taking 30 minutes to take an order and the same time to bring the dish, and often missing items from the menu.

Everything Was Great, From The Staff To The Location 10/10. Nothing

I only liked the view. We booked a better room but the view was the only good thing. The windows were single‑pane with a separate pane that had cracks, and we had to listen to a generator for three days. The shower was far too short and everything was damp. There was no cup for brushing teeth, no hair dryer, and the safe was so small you had to carry it under your arm. The staff were friendly, though there was some miscommunication that wasn’t entirely their fault. But that breakfast!! Just a dry sandwich (the photos show croissants and other bread), a block of spreadable cheese, a jar of chocolate or honey, some dry cheese, instant coffee, and you have to pay extra for coffee from the machine ?? a hard‑boiled egg. Nothing was presented nicely. In the evening they add things (e.g., potatoes) if you’re already done with the rest. I don’t understand why so many give it a 10 – or are those reviews omitted? We based our rating on that. We’re not the only ones who felt this way. We’re not difficult people. We’ve been traveling for almost 40 years and this is the first time I’m giving such a low score. Can anyone confirm this? We stayed four nights at the Steigenberger El Tahrir before and the difference was huge. OK, the price was lower but I don’t see why this hotel would still claim four‑star status, because again we were disappointed. Sorry for the bad review.
