The manager and owner upgraded me because I was the only guest in the lodge, which I found extremely customer‑focused; the couple of owners were also highly motivated to answer all my questions and made sure my stay was an experience from the very first minute. The lodge is a bit off the main route from Otavi toward Etosha or northeast toward Rundu, but the detour of about 35‑40 minutes (one‑way) is doable; unfortunately the swimming pool shown in the photos is no longer there, so the photo gallery should be updated to avoid misleading expectations.

The atmosphere is amazing, the chef is fantastic, and the hosts are wonderfully friendly.

From your bed you can see the stunning view and sunrise, watch all kinds of antelope roam all day, and enjoy a night sky you’ll never see in the city; the hosts are attentive, the food and wine are good, but the lodge is more than two hours by car from the Etosha park entrance, which is a long drive if you want to arrive by sunrise.

Great atmosphere in the tent, very well equipped. Beautiful view of a waterhole. Delicious food. A place to feel good.
