“Mandatory stay. Next time I’d rather stay further and drive in the mornings.”

I was close to the event I was attending, but the breakfast was poor and expensive for the quality, and there were cockroaches in the bathroom; the room was dirty.

The staff were friendly and efficient, and the breakfast was good, yet the rooms were pretty dated, the hallways were pretty dirty, and the rooms smelled musty, probably because many workers were staying there and the carpets were dirty.

It was a place to stay, but the breakfast wasn’t great—runny eggs, a biscuit, sausage patties—though they had yogurt, so I ate that; I wanted an oatmeal packet but there was no hot water. The first‑floor room smelled like it had flooded, so we moved to a second‑floor room. The whole place is dated, with lots of stains on the carpets. It’s in Holton, KS, so I didn’t expect a great view, but if you’re just looking for a place to sleep, it works. I don’t like to give bad reviews and these people are just trying to make a living, but I expected more from one of the highest‑rated places in town.

It’s a little outdated but clean; nothing fancy, breakfast runs from 6 am to 9 am, the pricing was a bit high, and the staff were very friendly.
