“Easy stay with no major issues.”

The place was close to the train station and the city centre, and it stayed quiet enough that I didn’t hear any loud noises at night. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the bed was soft with plenty of pillows. However, the hotel offered very few facilities – the cafe was tiny and there was no breakfast option. The room could use a few more touches to feel more comfortable, and there were stains on the carpet (I don’t like carpet anyway). The ceiling had some damage that would benefit from a fresh coat of paint, and overall the decor could use a small refresh.

“Perfect Oxford stay - felt very in keeping with the whole vibe”

The setting was beautiful, the staff were very helpful, the rooms were spacious and the beds were incredibly comfortable. We were running the Oxford Half and the hotel was practically next to the start line. On the downside, a 7.30am coffee on race day would have been a huge help – the coffee shop only opened at 8am.

“Disappointing”

The city location is good, but the price is extremely high and the room was tiny compared to the website photos. Passers‑by could see inside our room and it was very hot. The staff were just security personnel and not very friendly.
