The hotel sits beautifully in the middle of the forest, in a very quiet and relaxing setting that invites rest; the free parking and the very friendly lady at reception during the afternoon shift are also highlights. Unfortunately, the hotel is overall quite outdated and in urgent need of renovation; everywhere there is carpeted flooring, which left me with a not particularly clean or hygienic impression, and our room had an unpleasant cigarette smell.

The light in the bathroom is more like a flashlight, the room is extremely noisy, the old windows are cold—this was in mid‑September.

The staff were very nice. The old, historic building is in a great location and, aside from the forest noises, there is nothing else. Lovely 😊

“Balkankueche im Restaurant”

The rooms were cozy. The single room was a half‑double and still too small; if the second bed had been omitted, it would have been a nice single. The double bed was crammed against the wall and only reachable via the other bed, which is a real inconvenience; a small seating area in the single would have been a big plus. The hotel is so large and remote that I can’t imagine it ever being fully booked, forcing a single to become a double.
