My stay at this charming hotel was truly unforgettable, thanks to the serene ambiance that surrounded me, particularly the room situated near the ancient grape trees. The picturesque view of the trees was a lovely bonus, adding to the overall tranquility of my stay. However, I must admit that I was thoroughly impressed by the hotel's exceptional service and amenities, which seemed to exceed my expectations in every way.

“Below expectations”

I recently stayed at Anchor Guesthouse, and my experience was fairly average, not quite meeting my expectations. The bedroom was decent, but the bathroom fell short, feeling stuffy due to the lack of a window and in need of a thorough clean. The overall space seemed tired and could greatly benefit from some maintenance and a fresh coat of paint.

I had a truly wonderful stay at this charming hotel, nestled in the heart of a quaint Karoo village. The serene atmosphere and peaceful surroundings were a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, and the warm hospitality of the locals only added to the experience. However, I was a bit disappointed with the cleanliness of my accommodation, which fell short of my expectations. Despite this, the hotel's idyllic setting and friendly staff made up for the minor issue.

“Not pleasant at all”

I was really looking forward to a relaxing stay, but unfortunately, my experience was marred by some significant issues. The room had a pretty unpleasant smell, and to make matters worse, I spotted some cockroaches scurrying around. The beds were also ridiculously hard, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep. To add insult to injury, the complimentary tea, coffee, and creamer were packaged in a flimsy plastic bag that looked like it belonged in a convenience store.
