The White Swan Inn, in Lowick village, offers a picturesque countryside setting with on-site bar and restaurant, free Wi-Fi, and private parking. Historic Berwick-upon-Tweed, with its 18th-century Barracks and Elizabethan wall, is 20 minutes' drive away. Holy Island's 16th-century castle is also nearby. Rooms feature en-suite bathrooms, TVs with DVD players, and tea/coffee facilities. Locally-sourced meals are served in the restaurant and country-style bar.

The breakfast was tasty, the staff friendly, and there was ample storage for clothes plus nice chairs in our room. It was a great base for visiting the holy island and the hays heavy horse farm. I was pleased with what the White Swan had to offer and had no complaints.

The hotel was very clean and newly furnished; I couldn’t fault anything. The only problem was that the property didn’t open until 16:30, and we arrived early.

The restaurant served an excellent evening meal and breakfast, and the bar was lovely for a drink; both areas had clearly been redecorated recently and looked very smart. The bathroom was clean and smart. The room felt a bit tired and dated, but I think renovations are underway, so this will be fixed soon.

Chambre agréablement spacieuse avec tout ce qu'il faut. Des lits de qualité, une salle de bain impeccable. Personnel serviable et souriant, des repas savoureux. Emplacement idéal avec arrêt de bus devant la porte et le magasin du village en face
