“So special - a must visit!”
Staying at Whisper Point Eco Lodge was definitely a highlight of our Sri Lankan tour. We were in Nuwara Eliya and booked one night there. It was freezing and raining when Lasantha offered to drive us to his resort in his car while his brother drove our tuk‑tuk; he also got us on the blue train, showed us the 9‑Arch Bridge and lunch at Ella. The lodge itself is breathtaking: three sustainably built villas, first‑class, with a spectacular view of the Diyaluma Waterfall. Lasantha is an executive chef, so the food is outstanding and most of the fresh produce is grown on site. There’s a beautiful freshwater swimming hole at the bottom of the property, fed by the waterfall—an incredibly relaxing spot. The bed is comfortable, the hot water has great pressure, and the surroundings are spectacular; we even booked a second night on our return from Arugam Bay Beach. Lasantha and his brother have created a piece of paradise that you really need to experience. Nothing negative—this place is heaven on earth!
