Right where I needed to be, and it was quiet. Unfortunately it isn’t very handicap friendly; some rooms need higher toilets and more grab bars in the bathrooms, especially around the toilets. The couch could also be a bit higher, which caused many problems for my wife.

The towels were very stiff and rough—use a softener. They felt rough and hard.

The spot is handy for getting to the HEB Center, and the free breakfast and nice room were nice touches. The breakfast staff were thin on numbers and the service left something to be desired, but since it was complimentary that’s understandable. The view was dominated by construction right now, which was fine because this wasn’t a “destination” stay. We asked for extra pillows for the pull‑out bed, but they were out, which was disappointing.

Everything was well‑situated, the facilities were amazing, and the hotel was stunningly clean. When we checked in, the gentleman who greeted us didn’t make us feel welcome—perhaps he had a bad day—but his colleague smiled and made us feel at ease; kudos to her for noticing the situation.

I skipped breakfast, but the location was great. The room had bottled water, a makeup mirror, and the towels were too thin and could use improvement.
